The Victoria Folk Music Festival takes place Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Royal Athletic Park (1014 Caledonia Ave, Victoria, BC). Join us for a full day of incredible live music, community, great food, and family-friendly fun in the heart of Victoria. The festival brings together legendary artists, beloved Canadian songwriters, and exciting emerging performers for an unforgettable day in the park. Tickets can be found HERE.
Festival gates open at 12:00 PM, with the first performance beginning at 1:00 PM. Music will continue throughout the day across two stages, including the Main Stage and our side stage, The Pickin’ Shack, before the festival concludes at 10:00 PM. A full performance schedule will be available in the Schedule section of the website closer to the event.
Tickets for the festival are $89 for General Admission. Children 12 and under are $25, and kids 5 and under attend free.
Festival-goers can enjoy a wide selection of food and drinks throughout the day. An assortment of local food truckswill be on site offering delicious meals, along with ice cream and special treats. A variety of beverages will also be available, including local craft beer, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.
Families are warmly welcomed at the festival, and the popular Kids Zone returns for 2026. This supervised area will feature face painting, balloon making, a jumping castle, and a variety of fun activities designed for younger festival attendees.
Royal Athletic Park offers accessible festival entry and facilities. A ground-level accessible entrance is available via Pembroke Street, and accessible washrooms will be located on the festival grounds. Festival staff and volunteers will be available to assist if needed.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to enjoy the music comfortably throughout the day. Refillable water bottles are also welcome. Small bags are permitted but may be subject to search upon entry, so please pack mindfully. Our team will ensure entry lines move quickly so everyone can get inside and enjoy the music.
For the safety and comfort of all attendees, outside alcohol, large umbrellas, drones, and pets are not permitted on festival grounds (service animals are allowed).
Limited parking is available nearby. Parking lots can be found at Vancouver & Caledonia and at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. We encourage festival-goers to walk, bike, take transit, or use rideshare whenever possible.
